As you may know we have had a difficult start to the year at Oakwood. We have had a number of issues concerning staff changes, equipment faults, facility repairs/maintenance and more. The vast majority of these issues have been within our control and it is unacceptable that we let these issues get to a point where customers were so unhappy.
In March we hosted some member coffee mornings so we could bring people up to speed with updates regarding the various issues, and to invite further feedback. We collected complaints and suggestions and have listed them in a working document, and detailed what we have done/are doing to address each issue. The document can be accessed here.
We have also set up a new online feedback form to give customers the ability to submit feedback and suggestions directly to the General Manager. The form can be accessed here.

Oakwood Sports Centre

Every September we try and make some changes to our timetable to keep it fresh and challenging. From Monday 11th September 2017 here are some changes to keep you moving in the right direction:
We've worked with instructor Mark to bring a new focus to our boxing-based classes at Oakwood and have replaced our Monday and Saturday Boxercise classes with RUMBLE. Although this is still a boxing-orientated fitness class we've gone for more traditional boxing content. It's still very much a non-contact class but you'll be using more conventional technique, gloves and pads, and our two new punch bags for a superb calorie-torching workout.
RUMBLE is absolutely suitable for everyone and follows a growing trend towards boxing-based classes. Read more about Rumble.
Instructor Hannah has put some superb ideas together to give her Tuesday evening Abs Class a fresh look. You'll be using gliders and swiss balls for a superb 45-min blast to improve the strength of the abs and core muscles.

TOTAL BODY CONDITIONING
We've been looking for suitable options for a high-impact class on Thursdays since Layla moved on from Tai Bo some time ago. We're delighted to have found Emma, who joined us a month ago and has fitted in perfectly at Oakwood.
Emma has bought some fresh routines and her own brand of high-impact exercise to a Thursday night! Her short 3-4 minute intervals of simple routines, choreographed to great music are an absolute winner! Read more about Emma and her class on the TOTAL BODY CONDITIONING page.
